What should the child wear?

Children should wear comfortable, form-fitting athletic clothing that allows free movement. We recommend leggings or shorts and a fitted t-shirt or leotard. Avoid loose clothing with drawstrings, zippers, or buttons that could catch on equipment. Gymnastics is performed barefoot, so no shoes are needed. Long hair should be tied back securely.

Can younger/older children change groups?

Group placement is based primarily on age and skill level to ensure appropriate instruction and safety. If your child is significantly more advanced or needs a different pace, please speak with our instructors. We evaluate each case individually and can arrange a trial session in a different group. However, we maintain age guidelines to ensure children train with peers at similar developmental stages.

Can siblings go to the same group?

Siblings can train in the same group if they are within the same age range and skill level. This often works well for families with children close in age. However, if there is a significant age or skill difference, we recommend separate groups to ensure each child receives age-appropriate instruction and challenges. We are happy to schedule siblings in consecutive time slots for your convenience.

Can the child make up for a missed lesson?

Yes, make-up lessons are available for missed classes due to illness or other unavoidable circumstances. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance when possible. Make-up sessions can be scheduled in another group of the same level, subject to availability. We offer flexibility within the same term, but unused make-up lessons do not carry over to the next term. Contact our office to schedule a make-up session.

How does the queue system work?

When a group is full, families are placed on a waiting list in chronological order. As spots become available due to cancellations or schedule changes, we contact families from the queue via email. You will have 48 hours to confirm your spot before we move to the next family on the list. We update queue positions regularly and you can check your status by contacting our office.

How do cancellation rules work?

Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email) at least 30 days before the start of the next term to avoid charges. Mid-term cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis for extenuating circumstances such as family relocation or medical reasons (documentation required). Paid tuition for the current term is non-refundable, but we can offer pro-rated credits for future terms in exceptional cases.

When is payment due?

Payment is due at the beginning of each term, at least 7 days before the first session. We send invoice reminders via email 2-3 weeks before the term starts. Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or Swish. Late payments may result in temporary suspension from classes until payment is received. We offer payment plans for families who need them - please contact our office to discuss options.

Why is it not always good to go with a friend?

Accepted Answer

While training with friends can be fun, it can also be distracting and prevent children from fully focusing on skill development. Some children perform better and gain confidence when placed independently, allowing them to develop their own identity in the sport. Additionally, friends may be at different skill levels, which could result in one child being in an inappropriate group. We encourage parents to prioritize proper group placement based on age and ability rather than social preferences.
